Volunteer Today!

Or tomorrow, or once a month – or even once a year! Everyone plays a role in helping girls reach their full potential. The energy you share with Girl Scouts will instill confidence in girls that will last a lifetime.

When you become a Girl Scout volunteer, you discover first-hand what happens when girls succeed.

Match your time and talents to make a difference to a girl: Become a mentor, help with trainings for adults, lead a troop … The possibilities are endless!

Getting started is easy! Here are the three initial steps ...

Step 1

Meet your Field Director and schedule Introduction to Girl Scouting. This training is facilitated by the Field Director at no cost and lasts approximately one hour. Download the Volunteer Application found on this page, complete it and submit it to council. Each volunteer in a leadership position is asked to submit a background check. Please click here to visit the online background check portal. The password to use the portal is girlscouts376.

Step 2

Girl Scouting 101 is an online training. It gives an overview of the Girl Leadership Experience, the National Girl Scout Program Portfolio and the Three Keys to Leadership, as well as the Three Processes. This training is free and takes approximately 45 minutes. Please complete the questionnaire after completing the training. This training needs to be completed before attending Leadership Essentials. The links for both Girl Scouting 101 and the questionnaire can be found here and the password for Girl Scouting 101 is aboutGS101

Step 3

Leadership Essentials covers information about GSUSA and GSESC. You will learn the logistics of leading a troop and how to keep the girls safe. Please fill out a training registration form to register for this training. The cost for this training is $5. Training dates can be found on the council calendar or under the Training tab.
